Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, Ganjam and Jagatsinghpur emerged champions in the 11th State Sub-junior and 7th Mini Handball Championships, which concluded at Mahanadi Vihar in Cuttack yesterday. Around 300 boys and girls from 14 districts are reported to have participated in the championships, which was hosted by Cuttack District Handball Association. Choudwar MLA Pravat Ranjan Biswal gave away the trophies in the presence of Orissa Olympic Association secretary Asirbad Behera.
Results (all finals):
Sub-junior girls: Jagatsinghpur beat Cuttack 6-3.
Sub-junior boys: Ganjam beat Jajpur 17-14.
Mini girls: Cuttack beat Jagatsinghpur 6-5.
Mini boys: Bhubaneswar beat Jajpur 15-11.
